ADVENTURE SOUTH GUIDE SERVICE-Buras/Empire/Venice---
Finished up today with a nice crew of gentlemen from Georgia. Yesterday we did a morning and evening trip. The morning was slow, but in the afternoon, the guys got into the reds thick, and were able to catch enough reds to fill their daily limit. This morning we headed back toward the same spot, but the fish were not there like yesterday afternoon, so I put the boat on plane and started looking. Our second stop proved to be all the guys needed, as they boated 10 reds for their 2-man limit and threw back several smaller reds. The bite was not fast, but it was consistent enough to keep us interested. The guys also managed to boat 25 nice trout before we headed in at 9:30. All the fish were caught using Glow/Chartreuse Deadly Dudley Terror Tail Jr's on ? ounce jig heads under Pop-N-Prop corks. If these thunderstorms ever get out of here, I think that we can get out in some open water and put a hurting on the trout, but it's just not safe getting to far from shelter when you've got big storm in every direction you look. There is a lot of lightning, high winds, and rain in the storms this time of the year, and it's just not worth taking the chance of getting caught in open water, just to catch a few fish. BE SAFE!!!
If you want to get in on some of the best fishing in the world, give me a call at home (504) 392-1700, or on my cell (504) 382-2711. July is booking up fast, and you do not want to miss any of that hot topwater or night fishing action. I Guarantee Fish and Fun!!!
And remember, when fishing with Adventure South Guide Service, you will catch your own fish. I will not catch them for you. Think about it. If you come in with 100 trout, and your guide caught 70 of them, how much fun is that for you and your party? Did you pay him to put you on the fish, or to watch him catch fish?
Until Net Time, Catch Em' Up!!
