Bad Decision

ADVENTURE SOUTH GUIDE SERVICE -Buras/Empire/Venice---
Today was the second of 2 days with Frank, Bernard, and Chief from Heritage Homes in Alabama. The guys had to be in a little early today, so I was under the gun and had to get on the fish fast. The wind was blowing a littler harder and with more east in it than it was yesterday, so I knew that the spot where we caught our fish yesterday would probably be tore up, but we headed that way anyway with the hope that some how it would be fishable. Just as I thought, when we got to the location, the east wind had dirtied up the water and put a good chop on it as well. I scrambled quick, hitting a few spots without much luck and then made the quick decision to make a big move. I knew that making a long run would cut into fishing time, and that it was an all or nothing move, but I something told me that our chances would be better if we would relocate.
I'm pretty sure that you can guess the rest of the report? We did make the big move, but it was all for nothing. The water was dirty there as well, and the fish were less than cooperative. The guys fished hard and only had 3 reds and 1 trout to show for it when we got back to the dock. A couple of the other guides did catch 20-30 trout by staying in an area and beating them out, which is what I should have done. I'm just glad that we had such a good day yesterday. The guys fish with us a couple of times a year, so they know that we give 110% for them each time we are out, and that I just had one of those days today. The few fish the guys caught today were caught using Purple/Chartreuse or Blue Moon/Chartreuse Deadly Dudley Terror Tails on ? ounce jig heads.
